Features
Highlights

Description:
The new Configurable Data Retention feature gives administrators control over how long Aptori scan results are retained. This allows organizations to manage storage usage, meet internal data governance policies, and align with regulatory compliance requirements. Administrators can specify the number of days to keep scan data, after which older data is automatically purged on a daily basis—ensuring the system remains clean, efficient, and compliant.

Where to Find It:
Available in the Admin Portal → Settings → Data Retention section, where administrators can configure the retention period in days.

Who Can Use It:
Only users with administrative privileges can view and modify data retention settings.

Description:
The new Generator Sets feature allows users to define global, reusable variables that automatically populate matching fields across all tests. These variables can include dynamically generated values—such as timestamps, UUIDs, or pattern-based names using regular expressions. By applying these Generator Sets across test cases, users can eliminate repetitive data setup, ensure consistency, and reduce the likelihood of manual errors in test configurations.

This feature is particularly valuable for scenarios requiring unique or environment-specific values across large test suites, helping teams accelerate test creation and improve reliability.

Where to Find It:
Accessible in the Generators section of the platform. Users can define and manage Generator Sets, and reference them in test configurations where matching fields will be automatically populated.

Who Can Use It:
Available to users with permissions to create and manage test configurations.

Description:
The Aptori UI now supports configuration file downloads using the Sift Version 2 schema. Through the updated Configuration Wizard, users can easily generate and download configuration files that follow the latest and most robust format, ensuring compatibility with new features and improvements in the Aptori Sift engine. This enhancement streamlines setup and promotes best practices by guiding users toward the most up-to-date configuration structure.

Where to Find It:
Access the Configuration Wizard from the Aptori UI. The downloaded configuration files now automatically follow the Sift Version 2 schema.

Who Can Use It:
Available to all users configuring tests through the Aptori UI.
